On Monday 30 September 2013 Poppy and I started walking from Chepstow, which had I passed through (in a snow storm) on my walk around England. Last time I headed up along the beautiful Wye Valley, this time I headed west along the coast to Newport and on to grander scenery beyond. The walk finished 700 miles later in Chester on & December, touching again the walk around England and so completing the circuit of Wales.
Home for the walk was this rather ancient, but functional motorhome, an Eldis 300 Special. At the end of each day’s walk I returned to the campervan by bus or train. I then drove the van to the start of the walk for the next day.
